Same response from me, your device works for line level instruments or devices, it can not be used with a guitar.
If you have a small budget, Behringer UCG102 works fine (I use one on the road), althoughit is not a high-performance device.
But if you want to take advantage of MG2, mainly stereo outputs, choose an audio interface with useful features (direct monitoring, 48v powering…).
UMC22 is an example of affordable device with reasonable quality.
