I’ve had the pleasure of testing this new software for about 2 weeks now and find it absolutely wonderful. I’m a bedroom experimenter but have been building a rig for live performance which consists of a mike stand with tablet holder, LPD8 controller and FCB 1010 foot controller similar to Dutch busker Markus K.
First bug : chain 1 distortion vst effect I have cc 81 from The patch bay connected for effect on or off, when patch is reloaded or restart the connection is lost.
Second bug : after modifying settings on JX 10 AM Synth and saving as a new patch, MG3 is unable to reload the synth

Ok, I think I know what is causing the error in reloading JX 10 AM Synth. I made a change in the synths preset from Analog Bass to Sine Infra- Bass. JX 10 AM SYNTH is an original MG inclusion from way back.

The MIDI Output Device is not remembering it’s port assignment across a save/reload cycle.
IOW, when I reload an MG3 patch, the MIDI Output Device is not set to the same port as it was when I saved that patch. (This is observed all in the same session, not across a reboot or other change in the computer’s port configuration.)

Even if based on current port numbers, a save/reload within a session should come back the same. So, looks like a bug.

But actually, it is very important for a a save/reload to work across sessions in all cases. This means the real need is for a semi-sophisticated “name-based” reconnection to ports by the MIDI Ouput Device.
