I’ve set the gain from within the vg800 to improve tracking but when I insert the gain module when I adjust how much gain I want for each string nothing happens.
I just tested and confirmed that the hex gain module is functioning correctly in MG3 version 3.0.63 (on macOS) and I don’t recall having any hex gain problems before my Windows 11 machine died – I’m pretty sure I would’ve noticed if it were broken. Are there any further details you can share to help the forum to help you?
When I insert the gain module it doesn’t affect the gain in the midi output. The gain only gets changed when I tweak the input gain and the strike gain but the module doesn’t change no matter if I mute the string or put it at 10 db gain. Does it have to do with the way I set up the Vg 800?
Do I have to insert it in a specific order?
Thank you for reporting. I just checked and you are right! For hex it doesn’t get applied to the strike/pressure. I’ll get this sorted out for next version.
OK, based on the original post I thought you were talking about hex gain module only and not any flow on from the module.
