Hammer on and pick create double trigger

Team, I take it it’s a common issue, but when picking notes, the initial ‘hammer on’ before the pick hit the string is enough to trigger an extra note.

Is this something that needs to be managed via noise, curve, etc? Or is there a better way to handle it?

Can you save ‘presets’ for e.g. legato work vs tapping vs alternate picking?

It can be a gain-staging issue. From the sound of it, though, it sounds like your playing could also be cleaner. MIDI tracked guitar or bass is its own instrument that needs to be learned, and that goes for hardware-based MIDI systems as well.

Best of luck.
