How to play midi guitar StarLabs & JamOrigin at the same time?

Hello all
I’d like to play jam origin with my Telecaster to trigger strings and to play the StarrLabs guitar to trigger notes on frets at same time
Do you think it would be possible?
What is the best way doing this?
Appreciate Al help
Thanks
Itay

Hello @Itay welcome here :slightly_smiling_face:

As long as your starrlabs is sending midi data, there is no problem.
Select it in the Control field of the Midi Interface window and you can immediately play a VSTi simultaneously with your Telecaster and your starrlabs in addition to the plugins of the audio section with the Telecaster.

Thanks @Herold
I will try it.
In that case should I put jam origin as an effect plugin on a audio channel with the Telecaster?
Can I use it without opening two seprarate kontakt instrument?

I am not sure I understand your question: can you specify how you use MG?

  • MG standalone + vsti plugin in MG
  • MG standalone + vsti standalone
  • MG plugin + vsti plugin in a daw or plugin host

And are you on Mac or PC?

Thanks @Herold I appreciate your assistance

First, I’m using Windows and cubase
I think the third option you suggested is what I generally do
With the Starrlabs I trigger midi notes with a an Instrument track.
I’d like to use MG to trigger strings as I play notes with the Starrlabs guitar.
Generally I record the performance as an audio track in real time.
I’m looking for the easiest way to control them both as midi from one instrument.

I understand the configuration of the applications better.

English is not my first language, so I have a hard time understanding what you want to do with the instruments.
Do you want to play and record the 2 instruments at the same time on different midi tracks + a real time audio track?

Maybe a simple diagram can help me to understand, unless a user of the forum has understood better than me
