Hi. I’m a retired IT Architect from Norway, that finally have the necessary time available to dive into learning and trying to create music. Music has always been a major part of my life, but because of always having long days of work and work travels, leaving me no time an energy left when the day was done, it has mostly been just listening to it, instead if making it. I have been playing guitar off and on almost my whole life. As I have lacked continuity I never got really good at it. A few years ago I discovered the bass guitar and immediately felt right at home with it. So maybe I should have started the bass right away, instead of trying to become a guitarist. Still there were still those long days of work. So that ended up on the back burner too. Later on, after retirement, I discovered the joy of playing virtual instruments on my MIDI keyboard, and have been loving trying to teach myself to play the piano, as well as music theory. When I came across MK2 I was blown away by the possibility of fulfilling my old dream of having a MIDI guitar. I have wanted MIDI pickups, but I never could justify the cost of something I wouldn’t use more often than my dusty guitars. Now I can have that capability on any of my guitars, plus my bass. I’m really looking forward to learning to use it with my Ableton Suite 11, running under Windows 10.
