70 Plus Users

70 Plus

Hi folks. Though I’m not a regular poster in this forum I frequently visit and scope the info. There is much tech talk going on. For me some of it is usefull, a lot is above my head though. I am more the kind of person that learns along the way by using stuff.

I noticed a thread asking for windows users to team up. I’m 70 and wondering how many 70 plus folks are using and enjoying Midi Guitar 2/3, and maybe want to socialize and share a bit in this thread. Let’s face it. Growing older means a different phase in life. In my case I’m thankfull that in spite of physical wear I’m still able to play a bit.

Not for the glory I’ve uploaded a track at Youtube. Listen to it or don’t, doesn’t make any difference. It’s a one take accoustic guitar piece. Recorded with a Seagull guitar, Cubase E-13. Vital, Surge and Tripple Cheese vst plugin’s running on separate tracks in sync. Did a few minor edits mainly cleaning up collateral midi waste.

Again: Would be nice to share thoughts and goodies with some other grumpy old folks. :slightly_smiling_face:

Ooh yeah…Windows user to.

That was beautiful! Great use of the synth

Well I’m only 60 so is it OK to post here?
Jokes aside, cool take, it’s one of the fundamental ways to use MG3, aka mixing guitar with synth in the background and you did it with flying colors.

I’m 74, I’ve been posting here occasionally since 2012. I started with MG 1 and never looked back. Welcome aboard.

72 year old here. Been recording with MIDI Guitar 2 for many years, mostly on iOS, and often mix with acoustic guitar sounds too. I’ve been beta testing MG3 too, but on Mac not windows, most recently experimenting with the hex version using a Boss SY-1000 into a MacBook Air M1 linked to an iPad Pro M1 using NovoNotes Sidetrack for additional FX. Here’s a playlist of some recent one-take sketches …

Let’s hear it for the old guys!

Not even 60 here (getting closer) but liking your playing so much!
Thanks for posting!
