I just wanna confirm that with midi guitar and midi bass and that special scripting plugin that comes free with midi guitar, I’ll be to set up for 8 or 9 string guitar?
Anyone successfulky been able to make it work?

There are some using MG with even a Chapman stick, but you have to be a bit careful and understand the limitations. The synth will come only on the tuning range set (down to low D) and max 6 note polyphony.
Consider hooking up a midi pedal to the Mix parameter and then you can switch between 9 stringed guitar and 6 stringed synth.
