Lately I am using MG3 to jam with various backing tracks.
Then it came to me the idea to share my progress with the community.
I have setup two patches - one with only freeware (Triple Cheese and Zebralette)
and one with Zebra 2 that replaced Zebralette. They are called Jamming and Jamming II.
I have also mapped a controller (I have MIDI COMMANDER) to switch Chains on/off and Transpose, Sustain on/off. More could have been done but I think it’s a good template to start with.
Patches have Deep Expressor (kind of sax on the lower registry) and two MIDI Instruments as Lead sounds. During the video I mix different scenarios so you can see and hear the difference. Deep Expressor has a great natural attack and tone that mixes well with other instruments (MIDI).
MG3 does wonders. Not using Expression Pedal or MPE as I am figuring out how to use it with my setup in a template design and global assigns.
Exchange my Instruments with yours as you wish and enjoy!
The mappings will remain.
Hi, first of all thanks for downloading and using it.
On Triple Cheese the patch is Scottish Ceddar - adapted to taste, just a little.
HS Blowed II is a factory patch in Zebra Library that I have modified a little from the original so you won’t find it in Zebralette as Zebralette is only an Oscillator, no filters and that patch uses XMF which is a Cross Modulation Filter. You can use Zebralette with Hypercomb FX on the oscillator if you want to try. However if programming synth is not something you want to do, you can explore Zebralette patches and Zebralette 3 beta which is also great. Remember that also Podolsky is free and there are good mono synth sound to be used.
Surge - XT it’s a very good free VST Synth with some peculiar arrangements and filters with tons of sound. You might want to try that as well.
