Yesterday I released and launched KORAGUI, the first album of a kora and guitar duo I’m part of. Leaving the kora aside, and while normal electric and acoustic-nylon guitar sounds are part of it, all else was done using MG3 using various virtual instruments—for the strings, cello, duduk, and two synth-patch of Diva, one that doubles the electric at times, and one to make a solo for a small bridge in one of the album’s 3 tracks.
Here’s the Bandcamp link to it. Enjoy—and thanks a bunch MG…
@David_Marshall Thanks David, and glad to hear about the production.
While I also did the recording and mixing for my first 2 albums, I had them mastered by a mastering engineer. But for that last one, I did it myself—testing it in every possible setting speaker-wise—and I’m happy with the result. I wouldn’t master a full electric band mix that has a lot of low-end, but for more acoustic oriented productions I now feel confident that I can do it.
Very good. I like sound and production. MG3 it’s really a new horizon. Lately I am composing less music than in the past. I hope your great example will trigger a ‘click’ in my musical brain. Thanks for posting! A true example about how far you can go thanks to MG3. Beautiful music for the soul and spirit.
@pasha Glad you enjoyed it. And yes, MG clearly opens up new horizons.
As for “I hope your great example will trigger a ‘click’ in my musical brain”, that would be great. For all I know, the world would be in a better place if everyone played a musical instrument.
