Ableton won't recognize developer

I get this error message for both midi guitar and midi bass. What’s going on?

" **“MIDI Bass.vst” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.**macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware."

Is it with the Audio Units and are your running macos Catalina?
with version of Live does this occur?
Please use only the VST’s in Live, AU is only for Logic and Garageband.

It is not with the AUs either. I am running macos Catalina. I can’t get it to work at all. This is extremely frustrating.

which version of Ableton Live do you use?

and have you got an extra antivirus app running?

and my 2 last questions:
-Which exact version of Catalina are your running now?
-does the MIDI Guitar standalone work?

Sorry for all the questions, but VST’s runs here normally on Catalina and Ableton Live.
I need to figure out what is going on.

Yes to both of those questions. I am running Ableton 9. But now, my Ableton won’t even run or open.

Ableton Live 9 is unstable under Catalina. I had a crash a minute ago while testing, unrelated to MG.

I am running Catalina 10.15.1

Ableton has been working just fine for me on Catalina until I bought the full version of MidiGuitar. :frowning:

ok, now: does the standalone work?

I does work stand alone, but I bought the full version to I could use it as a plug in for live.

yes, ofcourse… but I need to pinpoint where the error.
You said you had a virusscanner running? which one is it, and have you turned on filesystem protection?

Please try and set macOS security settings like shown:

That worked a bit! Thx Paul <3 It is in the AU folder now.

ok, we sure have to get better signing for our plugin in the next update ;).
