Any estimate when MIDI Guitar 3 will be formally released?

Was very interested now that there is focus on creating a baseline, when Midi Guitar 3 might be formally released.

Thanks

Sorry, I can’t estimate.

The scope keeps drifting and the uncertainty is mostly about when to stop adding new features, (especially anything tracking related which is very time consuming). Hopefully the next update will be the last big one with tracking updates. After that it’s likely a couple of bug-fix-only releases but that’s faster iterations.

@ JamO I would be delighted if, following the successful efforts to improve tracking for MidiGuitar3 HEX, the focus of further improvements were to shift to MidiGuitar3 Standard and, in particular, MidiBass3 before the final release of version 3. :folded_hands:

Yes, hopefully this is how it goes

Thanks for the update, I am in software development. The heck with the requests. You have an amazing product. Scope creep is always going to come. Where I am we just baseline the features and release.

Well, with all due respect, but that is the difference between being an employee at an established company and an innovator/entrepreneur like @JamO. He will take his time to fulfill his vision without cutting corners - and thank god for that.

‘scope creep’, although accurate, is somewhat lacking here.

i believe that neither mg3hex nor mods were part of the original design spec. both are enormous advances.

i’d argue that ‘scope sprints’ better captures the nature of jamo’s workflow.

watching things unfold is the closest i come to being a child on christmas morning.
