Anyone Using MG3 Beta and Loopy Pro 2 Beta Together?

If anyone is using the two betas together, I’m interested in what you’re finding. I might just go ahead and try it.

I use MG3 in Loopy Pro a lot, although it’s a bit cumbersome. I’m wondering if LP’s new midi functionality streamlines it?

This may be pretty dumb, but as I understand the signal flow, Loopy Pro 1.0 only records audio. So all midi needs to be translated into audio for loops to be recorded. So when I use MG2 to play, e.g., a SWAM saxophone auv3 on my guitar, I’m essentially taking my guitar’s audio signal, translating it into midi control signals, taking the midi output and converting it back into audio, then recording that audio into Loopy Pro. It seems that the new Loopy Pro 2.0 eliminates that middle translation step. And with MG3 allowing polyphonic expression, a whole new world of soundscapes opens up for us non-keyboardists.

Am I missing something?

Cross-posting on an LP forum as well.
