BOSS GP-10 ❤️ MIDI Guitar 3?

Is anyone using hexaphonic pickups with MIDI Guitar 3? Does it work well?

I’m trying to work out if its worth picking up a Godin with hexaphonic pickups or to just rely on the audio output.

Thanks.

If you read a little bit here in the forum you will find that many users are playing guitars equipped with hexaphonic pickups. It is working exceptional well!

I have a Godin Multiac Nylon SA and a GP-10. They work great together and Midi Hex is a game changer.

Thank you. How do you find the latency? Also, how are you getting the hexaphonic signal into your laptop/computer? Are you going via a pedal?

GP10/GK3 and MG3 here. Latency is close to zero (also without Gp10).
When using GP10 you can do magic in MG3 as alternate tunings for the MIDI counterpart without having to create a specific ALT-TUNING preset in Gp10. This and other magic things are at your disposal.
Chords, even the complex ones come out clean and with no errors when using GP10 USB HEXA Driver.

I use the GP10 connected to Computer via USB.

Thanks pasha. This is really helpful.

Wherever possible I try to tag posts (and encourage others to do so) to help members find commonly discussed info like this. Be sure to follow the “hex” tag.

With that reminder out of the way, in my experience MG3 Hex coupled with a BOSS hex-capable device is about as good as pitch-to-MIDI gets. You won’t be disappointed.
