When I opened .40 I was told 44.1khz, but wasn’t told sample buffer 256, so I went to the menu and set it lower. It reverted to 256, so is this a feature, a mistake or a foretaste of the next beta?

256 in my understanding is part of the current beta, likely to change in the future. The same happens here on Live 11 e 12 and Standalone MG3
I knew that but it never gave me a choice before, which is why I was asking
