Ah, ok, looks like a problem on my side with those many-channel-interfaces I guess. Got it on the TODO list.
Another user with similar problem:

No inputs working

I believe I have tried everything… I cannot assign any input through a motu 1248? The virtual keyboard produces sound but the guitar will not connect. In MG 2 it works perfectly through input 5 and output 1/2 but none of the inputs in MG 3 work?
