I would find it very helpful if inserts in a chain could be bypassed with a mouse click. This allows quick comparisons without changing too much.

It’s a good idea, but if you bypassed that modulators module, what do you envision should happen to the cables?
They shall stay but not have a function, would that be possible?
You could perhaps mark the cables as a dashed or dotted line when the modules are temporarily switched off
In your screenshot above, when modulators would be bypassed, the GLIDE and EFFECT1 inputs will revert to… some default value?
Yes, that would be good if they go to zero as default.
If the bypass also would be controllable via CC’s would open up some more possibilities.
Bypass MIDI MACHINES in MG2 would also be useful.
