Can MG2 presets send MIDI on different channels?

Hi,
I am using MIDI Guitar II on iOS, as a plugin in Loopy Pro. I would like to CONDITIONALLY route the OUTPUT from MIDI Guitar II to various synths, where each synth is in a different channel in Loopy Pro. Total - I have about 8 synths.

My approach was going to be to create presets in MIDI Guitar II for each synth; and then I can use an “action” in Loopy Pro to change presets, depending on which synth I want to use. Each preset would send the MIDI notes out from MIDI Guitar II on a different MIDI Channel.

HOWEVER… I don’t see anywhere in the user interface where you can select the MIDI Channel output, or select the MIDI Channel the MIDI notes are sent out on (and I would assume one option is to send them on all MIDI channels).

Can someone help - how do I select the MIDI Channel the output is sent on? … and can I change that with user defined presets?

Thanks!!
BroAJ

I’m pretty sure you can’t do that in MG2. You can most likely modify the channels of outgoing MIDI transmission via MIDI FX-type plugins (I’ve done similar in AUM) or maybe even natively in Loopy Pro though.

Just want to add that MG3 has a selector for the sending midi channel when using MIDI 1.0, which can be wired to a foot pedal.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your replies.

I use MG2 inside Loopy Pro on the iPad.

Any idea when MG3 will be available as an AUV3 plugin for iPad?

Different topic… .but to be honest, I am not thrilled with extra fx, and sythns, etc. in MG3. There are already so many AMAZING synths out there on the market. There are already so many amazing fx plugins out there…why re-invent the wheel.
What’s needed is faster, cleaner, more accurate tracking, and more flexibility in setting parameters, and storing parameter settings as presets within MG. Small confession - I’m a violin player.

MG3 is already available as an AUv3 for iPad. Just join the TeatFlight beta.
