Can you assign a hardware foot switch to a CC in standalone MG3?

I have a midi keyboard controller plugged into the laptop I’m running MG3 on. Can I use an expression pedal plugged into that controller to activate a foot switch function/ CC control in MG 3 standalone? Or MG3 VST in Ableton Live 12?

I don’t see how to select/assign the hardware source to a control in MG3.

You can hook up several expression pedals and/or switches in the patch bay section. There is also the selector for the connected controller (just “grab” the field with the mouse and “scroll” through).
