I reinstalled MG2 and applied my registration key with no problem, but when installed MG3 Beta and tried to insert the email it asks for activation, it won’t let me paste or type the email address into the blank field.
This is inside a DAW? Windows or Mac?
Please try the standalone version.
I am running in standalone mode.
MG2 Activation Key worked fine.
MG3 won’t accept activation email by paste or type.
Oh. Is this on Windows or Mac? (what OS version?)

Thanks. I’m really puzzled by this, but it has nothing to do with your MG2 installation. Normally you can just type your email on that screen. Could you have some software running that steals the keyboard focus?
While it is always possible no matter how careful, in this case it is highly improbable, with the only likely culprit being this software. I didn’t mention any problem with activating or using MG2 at all, only that MG3 Beta won’t let me type in or copy and paste my email address.
There is no such problem with Ableton Live, Native Instruments, Reaper, MuseScore Studio, nor any other VST or Standalone music software requiring activation.
I’m 68 years old, have worked in IT since the late 1970s, online since the mid-1980s. I live in senior housing surrounded by technophobes who are unlikely to be a security threat. This system is on a private wired network, is only used for high-end graphic and music production, and every few months I do a bare-metal OS reinstall, with the most recent being this past week, which is the reason I’m only now getting around to reinstalling MG2 + MG3 Beta.
After reinstalling MG3 Beta and rebooting the system, I was able to type in my address, received an email with a link to an authentication code.
Thank you for trying to help.
One last thing for now. If I contact support, will I be able to have the email address associated with my purchase updated? I’m fed up with Google’s security problems and tracking and have mostly abandoned the use of Gmail in favor of Proton.
