Can't Find VST on My New Mac Mini

Hi - I’ve downloaded a trail version of MIDI Guitar onto my new Mac Mini (Apple M4, Sequoia 15.2) running Logic Pro X.

The VST isn’t showing up even when I run re-scans, Terminal etc. The .vst and component files are in the correct folder.

My Logic Sound Library IS on an external HD though. Could this be the issue? If so, how do I fix it?

When I try to open the stand alone version I get a message that says I need Rosetta? Is it safe?

I’ve been a long time user of JO on my old Mac and was just about to buy a licence for the new one when I thought I had better dl the trial version on my new Mac just to check that it all works!

Any advice gratefully appreciated.

Thanks.

Mo

I guess this is about MG2? I’d recommend going with MG3 beta now. It’s the same license.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, it was MG2.

I cannot find a working link for MG3 Beta? Can you send me a link here please? I’m on the Beta page but can’t find a downloadable link?

Thanks.

Mo

Hi @JamO

I found the link!

It seems to be working fine at the moment. Than you, it’s a great app.

Run your DAW/host using Rosetta 2 for MG2’s VST2 version.

MG3 versions run natively, no need for Rosetta 2

They should not be in the same folder.
