I need help!!! I’m on Cubase 14 Pro of the latest Midi Guitar 3 update …55 in VST 3 mode. My problem is that when I use the modulation wheel on my keyboards, midi guitar 3 doesn’t respond. The LEARN function didn’t work either.
On my other computer (Laptop) it works perfectly, so I assume it must be a setup in Cubase that needs to be corrected.
The modulation wheel works perfectly in all vst’s etc.
Can anyone help me (before I tear the last hair off my head)!
Thanks in advance!
Did you try to setup a dedicated MIDI track for your controller and send the output to the audio track that hosts MG3? If I just select the keyboard in the patchbay of MG3 it will not work.
Audio tracks in Cubase have no MIDI inputs per default. “Any” is an option in MIDI or instrument channels. It is possible to set up a MIDI input device but that is a procedure not explained that quick. With that set such a device can be selected in the MG3 patchbay.
This shows the controller I have built in Cubase that allows “direct” connection:
Edit: I removed my previous posts as I felt they were more confusing than helpful.
Like Ableton, then! I use the same operation to funnel MIDI to Audio tracks there.
Thank you very much, gentlemen.
I have tried the suggestion from Markus of creating an extra MIDI track and then sending the output from it to the audio track with MG3. And it works now! I am so happy again!
How it can be that this procedure is apparently not necessary on my Cubase setup on my laptop is a bit mysterious.
But the most important thing is that it now works on my desktop DAW.
Thank you very much from Denmark!!
