is it possibe to change Preset by external Programs over Prg Change etc?

yep. You need to sort manually by naming. 001 asdlgfkjadf, 002 adokfjawerptokj etc is the easiest method, where the nums coincide with the PC number.

I’m EXTREMELY new to the world of MIDI. I’m trying to do the same thing and was wondering what the alphabet string after the program number (001, 002) is.

Read it as “xyz”, as a “space holder” for the patch name you are giving.
