Does MG3 erase earlier MG2 projects?

Apologies, I’m sure this has been dealt with but I can’t find it clearly. If I download the MG3 IOS beta, what happens to projects I’ve worked on that use MG2?

Specifically, I’ve put together some Loopy Pro templates for jazz combos that use MG2 and route it through several different Swam instruments. Will those templates become inoperative?

Regarding standalone: For iOS/iPadOS, MG3 TestFlight beta installs over MG2. However, existing MG2 presets remain intact if you choose to revert to MG2. There is a “MIDI GUITAR 2 IMPORT” option within the MG3 presets menu but it is not functional at present. So basically, if your MG2 setup is mission critical, probably best to hold off in installing the MG3 beta for now, but if you do choose to try the beta you wont lose any data upon reverting to MG2.

Regarding hosted MG2/3 AUv3: I’m not sure exactly how the preset management system works winthin a host but I imagine you won’t lose any data. Maybe backup your Loopy Pro projects before you try the MG3 beta just to be safe.
