I use Guitar Rig 5 in MG2 inside Ableton.
Is there a methodology to drop an octave?
Don’t know about guitar rig 5 but the transposer midi machine might be what you’re looking for

Ok, so Guitar Rig is mainly an AUDIO effect, right? You have an Oktaver, and a lot of pitch shifters in it, so that shouldn’t be an issue. Are you thinking of sending MIDI to it and, controlling some parameters that way? The Octave change is available in Abelton MIDI EFFECT/PITCH if you want to change the MIDI in the DAW, but I am not sure what you are looking to do, so please describe in detail, the exact thing you are looking to do, and I’ll see if I can’t help you more?
You can use the free pitchproof vst inside MG2. It has full pitch shift ranges up or down.
Works great for what I want.
Thank you so verry verry much!
