Feature Request - Monophonic mode in HEX, badly needed especially for sustain

I am not sure how exactly things work under the hood but obviously the Monophonic mode is made for monophonic instruments like sax and it helps a lot by cleaning things up.

To my surprise it also affects the ability to sustain a note by a shocking amount.

This is very beneficial in sax playing.

The other very beneficial feature for sax playing is the MUTE OPEN STRINGS in the HEX version.

But HEX doesn’t have a Monophonic mode….. and it’s needed badly.

Take a look at the small example I recorded below, it’s shocking how much longer the monophonic note sustains (recorded with a Strat on sustain challenged top two string B and E)

In monophonic mode, the saxophonist suffocated!

Thank you for the heads up. I will take a look and bear the sustain in mind for future hex tracker updates.

Other than for sustain, monophonic is obviously useful, for sax or mono synths. An in this case, I guess we can have a module to reduce the 6 notes down to 1. Please try the LEGATO module which can be set to reduce polyphony and also lengthen sustain.

Thanks.

I tried the legato module, it didn’t help to much but the Infinite Sustain hooked up to a control pedal was more useful. Still a monophonic module in hex would be the best solution.

The most annoying problem is when you bend a note and as soon as you touch the adjacent string even the slightest peep will turn off the current note. Yes Gate can help but then your hammer-ons start cutting off as well. The monophonic mode seems to solve these issues the best by allowing only the strongest note through.

Yes, I understand. Lets add a monophonic hex tracker, seems like a good request.
