Garageband Midi Guitar 2 / Mac Big Sur / tracking latency

Hi, just bought Midi Guitar 2, using with Garageband and experiencing some latency. There is no way to adjust the buffer size in Garageband that I am aware of. Is there a fix for the latency problem. Thanks - Joe

Ok, so locking all the other tracks appears to have solved the problem, yea!

I know Iā€™m late to the party. But, I had to ask. So, you locked all the other tracks besides, the audio track and the track you are currently using with a midi synth sound? Or did you lock the input audio track?
