Get to use MIDI Bass 2 instead of MIDI Bass 3

Dear all,

After some testing, today I decided to buy MIDI Bass 2. I clicked on the BUY button and the software sent me to the MIDI Bass 3 purchase page. Not being able to find any other page where to purchase version 2, I proceeded and bought version 3. The thing is that version 3 is – probably at the present state of things – way laggier and less accurate than version 2!

So I was wondering, since the cost of the plugin appears to be the same regardless of the purchased version, is there a way to apply my license to version 2 for the time being?

mb3 has ‘duophony’, i think that adds latency.

i don’t have it in front of me, but i think there is also a monophonic detection mode which should give you the same performance as mb2.

Thank you, but I did try the monophonic detection mode and it is significantly less precise than mb2.

hopefully someone in the know will chime in re: the licensing.

I thought the licence was valid for all versions?

i know for certain that an mg2 license includes lifetime upgrades. i don’t know if the reverse is also true. seems very likely but i’ve never seen anyone ask before.

That’s what I assumed as well - but licensing procedures differ between the 2 versions.

Did you try the MB3 monophonic setting, in comparison?
I’ll just get back to you regarding the license on email.

Yes, I did try it. I find the MB2 monophonic model to be way more precise and reliable. Thanks for your email!

Hey all, I got a reply from @JamO who very kindly sent me a coupon code to redeem MB2, the thing is all shop links redirect to Midi Bass 3 purchase page, so I can’t seem to find a way to generate the license for version 2. I wrote him a few days ago and had no feedback yet, perhaps anybody here can be of help? Thanks in advance.

I thought that you received a code for MB2, right? If so just install MB2 and insert the code using the “Apply License” button.

If I click on “Apply License” I can only load a file, which I should purchase through the payment page where to insert the coupon code. Without license file, I cannot do anything.

You definitely need the license file. I mistakenly assumed that you had received this.

Hey there,

I’m about to buy MB3 and testet the demo already.
Since I’m not 100 percent satisfied with the tracking as well, I was wondering if you can use MB2 now. Did you find a way?

Please wait a bit. I will try to integrate the monophonic MB2 tracker into MB3 as well.
