Hex pickups on solidbody vs hollowbody guitars

Hi there good folks.

As the title states, is there a preference towards using your hex pickups on the different types of guitars? Or does it really not matter?

I’ve tried both. At least for me, there was no discernible or notable difference.

I have a hex pickup on my steel string Washburn acoustic which works great.

i’ve never compared the options on hollowbody guitars in terms of performance.

in terms of installation though, for guitars with curved bodies, piezo’s are probably the easiest to install/optimize and are maintenance-free.
