How to use/add pitch bend?

Hi, I’m slowly moving from MG2 to MG3. MG2 has a setting in which I can set the PB range. I did add the “MIDI OUTPUT” to my signal chain in MG3, but I’m not getting any bends sent to the synth (which does support bends as I can get it to bend in MG 2). What is the simplest way to set up bends (I’ll start with a range of 2). Thanks!

Hi @PaulStory

Every instrument module in MG3 has its own bend range setting, and should be set to match the bend range in the synth. Here I use UVI Falcon with a smple library that uses Bend range 2, so I set the bend range on the module to 2:

The same goes for the MIDI Output module. You should set it to match whatever the synth’s Pitch Bend range is set to. Use 48 for MPE synths, but check your synth. The important thing is taht these values match.

You might want to consider changing the pitch bend range on the synth instead, if you are using the MIDI Guitar OUT for several synths (with different PB values.
