Hello, I purchased the midi guitar for GarageBand but I cannot get sound to the GarageBand. Not only that I cannot run this midi guitar program as a stand alone. I am using a MacBook Air and a iRig HD X. How do I make this work?
check your microphone permissions.
if you need assistance with garageband you should use their forum. if garage band is not working then mg3 will not work.
if you are getting sound out of garageband, but not mg3 then please post a screenshot of your setup.
i’m not certain about this but i think the garage band version most likely does not have a standalone mode.
Are you referring to the macOS App Store version called “MIDI Guitar for GarageBand”? I just searched for it and it doesn’t seem to be available anymore. Maybe somebody else can confirm this.
It is important to clearly specify the version you are using as different versions exhibit different behavioural nuances.
