Hi, I bought MIDI GUITAR 3 for 149 euros + tax. But unfortunately I can only insert the license key in Midi Guitar 2. Even a code that was sent to me didn’t help because there is no way to insert it. What is going wrong? That’s a lot of money for me and I can only use the demo version with the interruptions and errors in the window display. How can I get help?
Regards Axel Hering
Hi Axel, thank you for your support.
In MG3 you dont need the license file:
- Click “buy” in MG3 (top left)
- Click “activate license”
- Type your email, click submit
- Get the code from your email and copy it (ctrl-c)
- The code is automatically shown in MG3. Click Activate.
Thanks for the fast answer. I will check it immediately. BR Axel
YES, that works !!! THX !
One problem remains: According to your recommendations I bought at Orange trre samples the Evolution Indie Rock Guitar (you said , these instruments support MPE). Unfortunately I can’t hear anything. Do you have another tip for me?
Thanks a lot for your effort
Axel
So, like often the problem is sitting bevore the desktop…
The Guitarplugin was not activated in NI Access… When I use the keyboard in MG3 I can hear the sound. Great!
Is it possible to play MG3 with a real bass on input channel?
Over and out Axel
Hi @Axel!
I am not sure that I have seen @JamO ever saying anything about the Orange Tree Samples instruments, but I know I have. So, let me try to help you with this if I can. First off, I haven’t tried the Indie Rock specifically, but I have the feeling that the “Evolution” series instruments work pretty much the same.
It is a stretch to say that these instruments support MPE in and of themselves, but they can certainly be played utilizing polyphonic bends with the MIDI MPE setting in MG3. if you just set the bend range correctly.
Setting up the bend range means “Matching the bend range” in the software with the Bend Range on the Instrument Module. You can either set the Kontakt module in MG3 to bendrange 2 (like in the picture above). I am pretty sure the Evolution instruments are set to that by default, but if you want to use a slide and meke the most of the bendranges, I believe you can go into “setup” set your guitar to a bendrage 24 both up and down. (I only changed up here) Don’t forget to
- doublecheck so you have “Bendmodes” set to “All” as well.
- Set the Kontakt module to match.
This is what it looks like in OTS Evolution Texas Twang.
With regards to using a real bass with MG3 I refer you to this conversation for a great solution:
1000 thanks!!! Axel
