Jam Origin MIDI Guitar 3 to BOSS GP-10

Hi,

Can Jam origin MG3 be used with a conventional guitar to access the midi sounds on the Boss GP-10 floor pedal please?

Thanks!

the gp-10’s internal sounds can only be triggered via its gk (hex) input.

but many of the sounds have superior counterparts available in both free and paid synths which work well with mg3 and a conventional guitar.

for instance, surge xt is free and will give you a wide variety of sounds.

Ok thank you …. So to use the GP -10’s midi sounds you need a midi guitar like Godin SA Freeway?

all of the godin ‘sa’ (synth access) guitars will work with the gp10.

i think you need a convertor if using the latest gk5 pickup.

The BOSS GP-10 doesn’t have “MIDI sounds” — MIDI is not sound. It doesn’t even use MIDI to generate tones which means it certainly can’t be triggered with MIDI.
