I play live guitar with a combination of loopers and synthesizers. I use analog methods to trigger the hardware synthesizers including bass sounds currently, but am interested in having more control over this bass. In your software, can I use the midi output from the guitar to identify key and then generate bass midi patterns to send directly to a drum bass machine?
I do not currently use daw software and everything I do is live in real time. I do not record except to rc-505 loopers and want to stay as direct and intuitive as I can. After setting this up, I want to play and have the baselines follow notes automatically. Most of what I play is ambient, so no standard bassline packages. I just want to create notes related to what I play as I play. My current bass/drum machine is Roland but I could look at others.
