I’ve just installed the latest beta version of Midi Guitar 3 and now when I try to start Logic Pro it crashes. I can start it without plugins enabled and I can start it in Rosetta mode and use the Beta but any attempt to start it normally now causes a crash.
I tried deleting the plugin from the relevant folders, rebuilt the plugin library for Logic, re-downloaded Logic, re-installed the plugin just in case that would help but nothing is stopping it from crashing. There’s a crash report available if that’s any use.
Has anyone else had this problem or should I just go direct to Apple support?
I managed to resolve this by uninstalling the plugin and resetting Logic Pro to default settings. I’ll try again with the next beta update and see if it causes the same issue.
Hi @BBinPerth,
There are plenty of Logic users on the forum who haven’t had the issue you describe so it would be helpful if you could elaborate on your device/OS version/Logic version.
Your case sounds somewhat unusual. Personally, I always start Logic Pro with a new project so there’s no possibility for plugins causing loading issues. But regardless, without details, it’s difficult to know which way to point you.
I sincerely doubt Apple will be of any assistance to you on a plugin compatibility issue, but if it’s a common Logic issue you might get some advice from one of their “geniuses.”
Hi @Vaultnaemsae,
Thanks for your reply. I managed to resolve it by resetting all defaults in Logic. It did seem unusual to me, there was no one else experiencing the issue no matter where I searched which is why I asked in here. I’m going to put it down to a one off but if it does happen again with the plugin at least I know how to fix it.
Thanks again for your reply.
