Logic Pro for iPad routing to MIDI track

I would like to use MG2 to get MIDI data from an audio track (typically guitar loops) to a MIDI track in Logic so I can drive a software synth or edit MIDI data later on.

So far, it seems that the AU hosted version of MG2 does not offer MIDI output from the audio unit plugin, meaning I can only use the internal audio engines provided with MG2 and I can’t get MIDI from it.

Can anyone help specifically with Logic for iPad?

I posted this a while back before Logic updated to 2.0 for the iPad. Does anyone know if this is possible yet given the new routing options with the Logic update? Was surprised to find it is nearly impossible to use this app correctly in Logic for iPad.
