MG2 custom patch import

I want to try MG3 - but I don’t want to lose my custom patches from MG2.

I’ve already exported my custom MG 2 patches to external files. If MG3 doesn’t work out I’ll want to reload MG2 and import my custom patches. But I don’t see a way to import them back into MG2

Any suggestions?

Chris

You must neither “delete” MG2 nor the patches you made for it. Just install MG3 in parallel, it will not overwrite anything. You’re save to try.

Install in parallel for IOS? Are you sure about this? It certainly overwrote in my case.

Ups…I overlooked that this was for iOS > I don’t know about that. If it overwrote your installation then @Bpoco better shouldn’t try it!!

Ok - thanks for the info. One last question : I deleted one custom patch on MG2. But - last week I had exported it to an *.opatch file. How can I import that saved file back into MG2?

In Windows you can copy and paste your custom .opatch file into MG2’s Patches folder (typically something like c:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\JamOrigin\Patches). Is there a similar folder in iOS?.

Thanks Charlie!! I’ll look into that. I’m not sure about IOS with regard to folders for apps. But I should be able to search for the patch names.
