MG2 in Ableton Live 12

Hello, congratulations on your work, I am very impressed, congratulations. I can’t download the Beta version of GUIT MIDI 3 for Mac and I have a problem with GUIT MIDI 2, it’s unplayable with my Ableton Live 12. I dragged the VST file to the right place and it appears in AU in Live 12. Is that the problem? Everything works fine in the latest version of LOGIC. I can’t get it to work in NUENDO 13, it only accepts VST3s. Do you have a solution for Live 12? Because that’s the software I use for my creations. I’m waiting for your answer and congratulations again. Rémi

I guess if you have a newer Mac. you may have to run Live under Rosetta, but please look into MG3 instead, which is native for Apple Silicon:

Live 12 here. MG2 works fine. I am on Sonoma.
Since the beginning, starting with Big Sur, the AU version of some plugins used a native wrapper to translate the architecture from Intel to Apple Silicon automatically (no user intervention). You do not have to use Live under Rosetta but Rosetta might have been abandoned in Sequoia (I do not know) and maybe requires voluntary download. In any case you can use MG3 which is a native Apple Silicon Application. In any case try this link for Rosetta : If you need to install Rosetta on Mac - Apple Support.

Pls provide info about your Mac and OS details.

Hope this helps

Nuendo 13 (and the new version 14) are accepting the VST2 format. Make sure the MG3 VST2 plugin is located in the predefined folder or add the location to the plugin manager.
