MG3 and NAM implementation

Lately I found time to understand more about N.A.M. profiles and IR. I have created this video because I have found a possible ‘bug’ in NAM implementation within MG3. It looks like the Noise Gate knob is fixed and cannot be adjusted as shown in the video. Other than that the current NAM native implementation in MG3 is very robust and powerful, even more than the plugin itself.

I think it’s an easy fix but worth pointing out so that the great work @JamO is polished before release. With the addition of NAM profiles, now that I have a better understanding, MG3 has been pushed in space! Now what you can do with your guitar is limitless and with MG3 mixing Guitars Clean, Crunch and Dirty, makes the three channels in MG3 as powerful as a three channel AMP and with a press of a footswitch move to a MIDI MPE controlled solo sound… :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

thanks for sharing your explorations.

that bend at the end was very tonally rich.

i have downloaded some nams but never got around to trying them out.

i plan to have two mg3 setups, the crazy one and the lean one. the latter will be mg3 standalone with zero fluff, using the mods instead of vst’s as much as possible. the nams will certainly be a big part of this.

Thanks for checking it.

MG3 has grown to a swiss army knife for Guitarists addressing all the space from Guitar, Modeling and MIDI. NAM has been a very nice addition so that is native now. Fix Noise gate and add EQ strip and we’re good to go in front of an audience. In the future I have some other ideas to test and I will post them here. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
