Inside GigPerformer 5, For some reason the MG3 app is stuck on Biggy-Size and there is no way to grab ANY corner to resize. Adding a new instance also does not help.
This is not the case with the MG3b Standalone.
I tested on a PC, and I find the same problem of window size of MG3 in Plugin mode from Gig performer 5.
To solve the problem, I had to connect a monitor with a higher resolution, and from this monitor, I was able to resize the window of MG3. This resizing is saved in the MG3 settings file.
So, you still need to have a monitor with a high resolution to be able to do the manipulation.
Now, we must be able to modify this size in the configuration file.
On Windows, it is located under:
\AppData\Roaming\JamOrigin\MIDI Guitar.settings
It is an XML file, you have to change the values of the “windowsx” and/or “windowsy” fields and restart the MG3 plugin.
What’s the resolution of your display? Mine is 4K with 150% scaling on Win11. The MG3 GUI fits easily.
Also, yours says “MIDI GUITAR MINI”. What’s that? A trial version? Is the problem the same for both the VST2 and VST3 plugins? I can’t tell if you’re on a Mac or Windows.
Proably seems insane and there’s probably an easier way, but when I’ve had this happen with other plugins, I reset the display resolution to the highest possible setting to bring the offfending GUI into range, resize, then return to my original setting.
BTW, what does the “b” in “MG3b” mean? Unfamiliar to me…
Monitor is 3440x1440
Even though the window is stuck at one size, all MG3b Factory / User files load correctly.
If it’s not clear in the first post: The window, Container, Frame, whatever it’s called that holds all the GUI of MG3b, is not allowing any resize from the corners, or anywhere along the side. (which is the standard for windows). It is extending past the task bar, so the lower corners cannot be selected to resize. This is the first time this has happened inside GP5.
A"Resize" menu option in MG3b would be helpful in this case. The windows option is also not available.
