MG3 Transposer behavior - Feature Request

https://youtu.be/SElS5V2R-y8?si=cXTVPYhiU3EN2sF1

Not sure if the video explains it clearly but the way the transposer behaves is not very useful for my needs. Basically, when activated (turned on with a pedal), I would like it to NOT effect any currently sustaining notes… only newly picked notes. It’s so basic but very important for any situation I can think of. The turning on and off of the module behaves as a “re-trigger” for the currently sustaining notes, an unwanted behavior in my opinion.

Did you try the “Whammy” module (from 0 to +12) switched on and off by a switch and not a pedal?
At least this doesn’t re-trigger the notes.

I tried the Whammy, unfortunately it has almost the same behavior. It “re-triggers” the sustaining notes unless they are at a very low velocity. In any case the Whammy by it’s nature has to effect the currently sustaining notes so it’s not what I need.

I’m not sure how all this works for programming, maybe Jamo has to send a “Note Off” to the currently sustaining notes to avoid “run away notes” but even then I wish these notes would not re-trigger. In the piano’s case I could easily mask the switch point by using the sustain pedal (CC64) but masking an unwanted re-trigger is much harder.

This is a good request. I guess it shouldn’t be a problem to add this mode.

Thanks JamO

This and the “Monophonic HEX” mode are the two most needed features.
