I have installed the latest beta from TestFlight on my iPad Pro M4 running iPadOS 18.2.1 with iRig Pro audio interface which I have been using successfully for many years with both MG3 earlier releases as well as MG2. However the latest beta does not appear to auto-detect the iRig Pro but only the default iOS audio input/output which it says has an unsupported sample rate (320…). The UI gets stuck looping between the sample rate error message and selecting the audio interface but occasionally drops into the MG3 UI.
However, the AUv3 plugin version appears to work OK as the host application recognises the iRig Pro. I used both AUM and Loopy Pro to host MG3 successfully.
Also should the pitch effects work with audio on iOS? I have tried the string retune (which shows the strings being detected) and the whammy but no pitch shifting is occurring. This is using MG3 as an AUv3 plugin.
It’s all in one version. The selection of the different trackers you will find pressing the cogwheel on the top left corner, under the first menu item (Select Tracker).
BUG: Using the VG-800, MG3 3.0.63 is sending the stereo signal 1 & 2 to the hex audio chains–you should just be receiving audio 3 through 8, but it is receiving 1 through 8.
Found a workaround for the 1 & 2 audio blending in with the hex audio. On the VG-800, I use a send out to the input of my Scarlett interface. Then I set up an audio device chain with the Scarlett interface as input. This way, the audio comes through on the Scarlett but is silenced on the VG-800–using the send, the audio is diverted to the Scarlett and no longer comes through the hex audio chains.
Ideally, I would like an option for the VG/SY/GP device audio to go straight to the Master channel (something like an aux input button that you can switch on and off) without having to use up a device chain. That way you could control two hex audio chains, a synth, and the VG device audio stream.
