MIDI Bass and Focusrite Scarlet Solo

I have downloaded the MIDI bass trial but can not seem to get it to work with my Focusrite Scarlet Solo. My understanding is I should hear piano coming out of my headphones?

  • I am on Windows 11.
  • I attach a screenshot that shows both the Focusrite control and device settings
  • I also attach the MIDI Bass window.

The MIDI Bass shows what I believe is the correct Audio interface?

I do not get any indication of activity or input in the MIDI Velocity section. I have tried increasing gain.

My head phones are plugged into the headphone jack on the Scarlet solo. I hear bass when “Direct Monitor” is on. I hear nothing with it off.

I have tried LINE and INST on the Scarlet Solo.

It looks like other people have had issues with Focusrite Solo’s from searching this forum? It seems to be a fairly popular item so I am surprised I can not get it to work.

Any ideas? Am I missing something obvious? Thanks!

I think I have it working. Rebooting my machine seemed to have sorted it. Will confirm.

It appears to work although at times I need to exit the app and restart for it to work.
