MIDI Bass - lowest detected note?

What is the lowest detected note?
Using a guitar with Low E string tuned down to C2.
also looking for a way to block all other strings from sending MIDI.

i think midi bass goes down to E1. but even then there is a noticable lag when compared to the response of higher notes.

i don’t think you can get a guitar down to c1? maybe you mean c2?

only on hex can you block individual strings. a note filter in mg3 standard would allow you to restrict most of the upper 5 strings but not in the overlapping range.

or you could run one of those ‘torpedo’ single string pickups into midibass and the regular pickup into midiguitar. this way you can independently transpose the single string down.

but notes you play on that string will appear in both streams.

You could try to use MG3 Hex on strings 1-5 and route string 6 to MB alone. So MG3/MB would be running in parallel. Really depends on exactly what you’re trying to achieve though.

@ kimyo yes, thanks for the correction C1.

There are MIDI MACHINES that block specific note rangess.
Yes, I’m trying to do the setup with midi bass on the lowest note, and MG2 for all the other notes. In this case I’m not using any *HEX pickups.

*"pickups: “pup” it just sounds silly. In TX Pickups mean something different. lol
