Since the 3.0.50 beta update it looks like that MIDI commands are not routed to the hosted VST anymore. Even the new MIDI Device module doesn’t pass commands. I have tried it with various plugins, none of them responds to my external MIDI device (MG3 does).
What MIDI commands are you thinking of? You have nothing wired on the pic?
If I want my CC64 from my Keyboard (USB-MIDI) to reach Falcon I still need to wire that CC. Notes are passed on without wiring though.
I understand, I thought that it’s enough to have the module upfront the VST in order to pass all commands further to it. So the new module is basically the same as the patch bay. Parameters, or CC’s must be explicitly brought up and wired.
Nope, you still need to wire CCs. The MIDI device passes on notes as well as some other stuff from your controllers. That is the main difference right now. You can input notes to your VSTi from your controllers. And for something like MODO bass that is quite the thing actually (every KS type command gets passed on here.)
Thanks, yes I could change my controller to notes also. Most of the time I’m using MG3, I use the plugin in a DAW and there it’s easier (at least for me) to make the desired connections.
