MIDI Guitar 2 / 3 not working in Ableton 12.3.6

I just wanted to test this plugin MIDI Guitar 2 and 3, but I can’t get it to work in Ableton 12.3.6. The internal functions work great, but the MIDI output to the DAW via MPE or MIDI 1.0 doesn’t work. Ableton also doesn’t recognize the VST as a MIDI input. Under Settings, I can only find my audio interface.

I just downloaded the trial version of Ableton 12.3.6
It works fine when you send MIDI out to the track in the MG3 plugin and select the corresponding audio track as MIDI input for an instrument track.

in ableton, create a midi track and assign its input to the track containing mg3:

Yeah, I already knew that. I’d set up my test the exact same way.

And today, I opened yesterday’s project and—boom—it works… I guess I needed to restart Windows after the installation.
