Midi Guitar 2 trial software display shows the "INPUT" blinking

Hello Forum Members,
My Midi Guitar 2 trial software display shows the “INPUT” blinking.
Here’s my equipment list and related details:

  1. My iMac OS is Ventura 13.2.1 with Logic Pro 10.7.5
  2. I use a Scarlett 18i20 (gen 3) interface.
  3. Midi Guitar 2 is my first and only plugin in addition to the available midi instruments in Logic Pro.
  4. The Midi Guitar 2 trial software DMG downloaded and appeared to install ok. But the “INPUT” box kept blinking no matter what I tried.
  5. I’ve setup two tracks; one “audio” and one “software instrument”.
  6. I have a strong signal in from my guitar on the “audio” track VU which I recorded…but no signal on the Midi Guitar 2 plug VU.
    Please advise regarding my next steps. I welcome your kind help.
