MIDI Guitar 3 beta for iOS is now available!

Thanks a lot, I got it installed now! My mistake was trying to authorize from within TestFlight, but opening the link directly worked.

Hey Everyone, I have been testing/using MG3 on my iPad for a few months now but last Saturday it stopped working, I actually couldn’t find the app at all not in TestFlight or anywhere.
Now when I use the link it tells me the app is not accepting beta tester any more, have I missed something?

The 90-day TestFlight period (on the Apple side) expired, and per this thread, @JamO is aware and will roll out a new update soon.

We’re also awaiting Midi Guitar 3 for iOS, and by the way, we want to thank Ole for his tremendous effort and talent in developing this technological and artistic miracle. Greetings from Spain to everyone, and by the way, we hope music can contribute to world peace, which is so desperately needed.

Is still possible to join this beta test? I am an ios owner of midiguitar2 and I really would like to test the new version. Thanks!

P.D: Just saw that we need a new version. Will wait then. Cheers!

Please keep MG3 working on iPhone like MG2 ! it’s so valuable.

It works in my Iphone 13 promax ios 17.4.1, whats yours?

I’m on iPhone 13 mini and I can’t browse to select an instrument. Perhaps it’s ok if the menu is smaller. I reaaallyy need this update !

Could you please share a screenshot of the problem? I have an iPhone 14 Pro and MG3 menus can be browsed, although it is a little uncomfortable if you’re used to using an iPad or a Mac/PC.

Seems to be good on yours.

Can’t see anything on mine .

It’s good here. Are you trying to load a preset? Or are you trying to load an instrument?

MG3 IOS would be a paid new app? also the hex version? we know something about prices?

Yes it will be a new IAP. Not sure about pricing yet but its free on TestFlight.

Testing now and it tracks awesome on an M1 ipad air. One thing i would love is if we could have the option to set lowest note to B, so us baritone players can get that low end!

It is partly OK but I don’t see the sampler part as the Mac OS version.
Is it normal ?
I’m looking to test some tombones and tuba

It’s right there, if you scroll down. But, I think it’s not functional for iOS at present. Your best bet is to load an AUv3 sampler (like Decent Sampler) inside MG3 Standalone.

Has anyone run into MG3 not recognizing the audio interface? MG2 does, but not MG3.

Could you possibly provide any information regarding the interface that isn’t being registered and the platform you’re running MG3 on?

There’s less than 10 days remaining on the current iOS beta. It would be nice to have a new version submitted before that so that MG3 doesn’t suddendly become unavailable. Thanks !
