Yesterday I have re-discovered Midi Pipe. When Apple transitioned to Apple Silicon Midi Pipe was left behind as an only Windows Application. Now it’s a Universal App.
Meloaudio was giving me some problems with Ableton Live and MG3 as it can be configured with toggles (first press 127, then 0 on the same CC - very bad for Ableton Looper).
However, when configured as momentary (send only 127 on a CC) it is not recognized by MG3 and with Ableton is sometimes quirky. Moreover the Meloaudio firmwares have ALL CC configuration with or without toggles. Meloaudio has also a Configurable setup but it allows only 8 footswitches configuration, while the ‘fixed’ modes can do 8 banks of 8.
So with MIDI Pipe (freeware - donationware) I can intercept any cc and route it on any channel with any value so I can transform the ‘toggle’ fixed preset as momentary (send 127 every time you press the footswitch) and have access to 8x8 CC!
You can also delay the messages, create a curve and filter messages.
