Hello. I am using Cantabile, which is somewhat similar to Mainstage but for Windows. I would like to be able to switch between MIDI instruments, or racks as they are called in Cantabile, using a MIDI footswitch. I thought that using something like the MIDI Channel selector might work, but I have learned that MIDI forwarding is not something that works with MG2 in certain DAWs.
Being somewhat of a newbie in the MIDI world, I don’t have very thorough understanding of MIDI routing. What types of solutions should I be looking at to help me switch between different instruments without having to resort to my mouse.
I know the question seems kind of vague, so if you need any further info, I’d be happy to supply it.
